1. Where we deliver
Good Food Buddy delivers to eligible addresses in Pretoria East, the Moot and Montana, subject to route coverage, product availability and kitchen capacity. Enter your full address at checkout to confirm whether delivery is available. We do not promise nationwide delivery for fresh or frozen food. Any future courier option for approved shelf-stable or cold-chain products will have its own displayed terms.
2. Delivery fees
Delivery is charged according to the destination and the option selected. The final fee displayed before payment is the applicable charge for that order. Published promotional rates or estimated distance bands may change for future orders. If an address is outside our active delivery area, we will discuss an alternative collection arrangement or refund an order we cannot lawfully fulfil.
3. Service times
Daily fresh meals: Order and pay before 10:00 for the scheduled same-day service, unless the listing states otherwise. Standard delivery takes place 16:00–18:30 on the confirmed service day. Times are delivery windows, not guaranteed exact appointments. Changes due to severe weather, route delays, power interruptions or other disruption will be communicated as soon as reasonably possible.
Frozen meals, deli items and desserts: Availability, dispatch days and delivery arrangements depend on the product and may differ from daily fresh-meal service. The confirmed date or arrangement at checkout or in our order message applies.
4. Collection
Collection for eligible orders is available at 131 Codonia Avenue, Moregloed, Pretoria, 0186, ordinarily between 16:00 and 17:30 for fresh meals. Collection is free when offered as a no-charge checkout option. Wait for your collection confirmation and bring your order number. Any alternative collection site or schedule must be expressly agreed.
5. Correct addresses and receiving your food
Please provide a complete address, complex or unit number, security instructions, working telephone number and a person available to receive the order. Drivers may contact you to arrange access. Inspect the delivered goods promptly for missing items, damage, broken seals or temperature concerns. Report a concern as soon as practicable, preferably on the day of delivery, so we can investigate safely; a delay does not remove statutory consumer rights.
We do not ordinarily leave temperature-sensitive food unattended. If no one can receive the order, we will try to contact you to agree a safe next step. Where a failed delivery results from incorrect information or unavailability of a recipient, a reasonable additional delivery fee may apply if clearly agreed. We will not automatically charge fees caused by our own mistake.
6. Fresh and frozen temperature control
Fresh chilled products should be placed in a refrigerator promptly on receipt, and frozen products in a freezer promptly on receipt. Use the specific label's temperatures, use-by dates and reheating instructions. If packaging is damaged, food is unexpectedly warm or a frozen product has substantially thawed, do not consume it before contacting us. Report the condition with photographs where possible.
Our food transport, handling and storage procedures are designed to meet applicable South African food-hygiene requirements. A delivery does not authorise a consumer to leave perishable food at room temperature for extended periods.
7. Missing or delayed orders
If an order is incomplete, late or cannot be supplied on the agreed date, contact us immediately. Depending on the facts and your legal rights, we may arrange a replacement delivery, an agreed substitute or an appropriate refund. If we cannot fulfil an accepted order, we will notify you and handle payment reimbursement in accordance with applicable law.
